As a husband-and-wife duo raising our kids on the Big Island, we know how fast time flies and how deeply moments matter. Our approach to Hawaii wedding photography is relaxed, heartfelt, and full of connection. We bring together Marissa’s eye for detail and love of visual storytelling (inspired by her artist grandmother) with Rui’s love for nature and quiet, thoughtful storytelling. Whether you’re planning a barefoot elopement on Oahu or a full wedding weekend on the Big Island, we’re all in — snapping real emotions, golden light, and every unforgettable in-between moment.

Think of us as your built-in hype team, calm in the chaos, and maybe even the ones with the extra bobby pin or a Tide stick in our bag — just in case.

We’ll gently guide you through poses, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and photograph your day as it really felt: joyful, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

A seamless experience designed to keep you present, relaxed, and fully in the moment.

01 Browse our galleries

Check out our portfolio to get a sense of our work! You can see more of our work on our blog and on Instagram. If you love what you see fill out our inquiry form.

02 Our meet cute

We will schedule a call with you to get to know each other a bit better! On this call we will get a sense for your vision and what your dream day looks like. You’ll have a chance to ask us anything and everything!

03 Put a ring on it

Let’s make it official! We’ll send along a contract, and once we receive the signed agreement along with a 30% retainer, your date is written in permanent ink on our calendar.

04 Prepare your timeline

Whether your eloping or having a large wedding, in our experience it takes a lot of prep and planning to make sure the day goes smoothly.

We will go over your timeline on your consult call and about a month out from your wedding day to make sure your day is timed for best lighting.

05 Wedding bells

Your big day is here! YAY! Time to celebrate!!! I’ll be there every step of the way and will be keeping a close eye on our photo timeline so you can focus on each other, soak up every moment, and have all the fun!!

06 Final gallery

After 4-6 weeks you’ll receive a big beautiful online gallery with the ability to download any and all the final edited high res files so you can have them for your personal use. Share the link with all your friends and listen to everyone gush over your beauty and love for the next month straight!
